I ve used both and they re both excellent.
Castile soap and vinegar shampoo.
Grab an empty shampoo bottle and pour in 1 teaspoon of castile soap and fill the rest of the bottle with filtered water.
Bronner s castile soap and vinegar can clean an entire house.
Again dilute the acidic agent in purified water.
You also don t want to mix acids like vinegar or lemon juice with castile soap as the two will counteract each other and cause a film to appear on whatever you re trying to clean.
But the sole point of this post is to emphasize that these two should not be mixed directly.
Mix well and use as you would a regular shampoo.
In most cases vinegar is the perfect complement to castile soap when you use it after c astile soap.
It s also important to remember that soap is a cleanser and not a disinfectant meaning it may remove some harmful bacteria but it doesn t kill it.
They are effective versatile biodegradable and non toxic.
It is not color safe.
Since castile soap is very alkaline it requires a follow up rinse of something acidic like lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to restore the ph.
The more soap you use the stronger the solution will be.
You can try this by adding 1 part of baking soda to 1 part of castile soap.
To make the diy apple cider vinegar shampoo you ll need half a cup of liquid castile soap and a tablespoon of acv.

But in general a little soap goes a long way.
Baking soda is more alkaline than castile soap and the addition of vinegar will act on the alkalinity of the baking soda rather than the castile soap.
